Postpartum Apparel: frequently asked questions
- Mesh underwear or my own?
- Mesh for the first two weeks. After that, soft cotton high-waisted briefs over your existing underwear. The mesh is good; you are not going to wear it on vacation.
- When can I wear a regular bra again?
- When milk supply is established, around six to eight weeks. Wireless nursing bras until then; underwires can press on milk ducts and lead to clogs.
