Cradle cap and the cream that helped

Those flaky patches looked alarming. They were not, and they cleared.

At about three weeks, our son developed cradle cap across the top of his head. Flaky, a little yellow, a little stubborn. My first reaction was worry.

The pediatrician was calm about it. Common, harmless, not itchy for him. We used a gentle cream, a soft brush, and patience. Mostly patience.

It took a couple of weeks to clear. If your baby has it too, you are not doing anything wrong. Newborn skin is just figuring itself out.
